Position:
Curriculum Coordinator
General
Description:
The Curriculum Coordinator provides essential support for the curriculum
design and implementation process and the academic program review
process. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, with the
supervisory responsibility for the SLOA Director, the Curriculum
Coordinator guides the design, development, and implementation of
curriculum for credit courses and programs.
Qualifications:
Required
-
Master's
degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field from a regionally
accredited college or university required.

College teaching experience,
including documented use of Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment (SLOA).

Curriculum development
experience, including the use of technology and assessments.
-
Strong interpersonal,
presentation, and program management skills.
Preferred
-
Doctorate degree from a
regionally accredited college or university.

Experience with Blackboard
or other course management system.
-
Experience developing and
using DACUMs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with
faculty on curriculum development using Bloom's Taxonomy, Advisory
Committee input, results of DACUM process, measures for assessing
student learning, and other pedagogical elements of quality curriculum
design and instructional delivery.

Form partnerships with
faculty that facilitate ongoing review, revision, and assessment of
program vitality and curriculum currency.

Maintain college master
inventory of credit courses and programs, monitor entry of new courses
and programs, and prepare reports as requested.

Conduct Program Reviews in
collaboration with the academic leadership and the Office of
Institutional Research; monitor key indicators of program vitality and
currency.

Maintain Program Advisory
Committee minutes and membership rosters; ensure compliance with Board
of Trustees policies and procedures governing operation of Program
Advisory Committees.

Works
cooperatively with colleagues across the College to accommodate
currently enrolled students, to alert appropriate constituencies, and to
notify
Maryland Higher Education
Commission (MHEC) per
regulations.

Work closely with the
Business and Continuing Education Division to explore opportunities for
articulation between non-credit and credit courses.

Monitor compliance with
external agencies such as the MHEC, the Code of Maryland (COMAR), Middle
States Commission on Higher Education, and professional accrediting
agencies.

Serve as point of contact to
MHEC's Office of Academic Programs.

Serve as in-house expert on
the Maryland Plan for Postsecondary Education.

Facilitate timely review and
revision of the Academic Master Plan, involving appropriate internal and
external constituents.
This

Salary:
The salary for this full-time position is $58,049.
