Position:
Police Officer
III
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or
equivalent education.
-
Minimum of 3
years experience in Law Enforcement.

Must have certification from
the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission.
-
Complete an authorized
Maryland Police Department's Training Academy.
-
Currently employed at an
authorized Maryland Police Department; or have been out no longer than 3
years.
-
Posses a valid state of
Maryland driver's license.
-
Successfully complete a
background investigation.
Responsibilities:
-
Conducts the
full performance level of law enforcement work.
-
Leads lower level officers
under the supervision of the Police Supervisor.
-
Responds to calls for
assistance and emergency service; takes appropriate action.
-
Leads and conducts the
investigations of incidents reported on the shift.
-
Performs and provides
guidance and assists in the collection and preservation of evidence.
-
Interacts
with the College community and establishes
rapport with the public.
-
Conducts or assists with
surveillance and serving warrants and summonses.
-
Directs traffic and assists
with traffic and crowd control.
-
Attends to office duties
such as answering phones, dispatching, issuing parking permits, and
providing information.

Collaborates with local and
state law enforcement agencies as needed.
This

Salary:
The salary for this full-time position is $43,753.
