About the MCCT

The Maryland Center for Construction Technologies (MCCT) is the umbrella for all the construction related offering of the Baltimore City Community College. The offerings of these programs range from 15 week to 1 year certificate programs to 2 year degree programs.

There are pre-apprenticeship programs available in plumbing, electrical and carpentry to expose students new to the construction field to the three main trades. On completion of MCCT programs, tradition apprenticeships are available to students seeking to gain hands on experience prior to their entry into the world of work.

The MCCT was created in part, as a response to the needs created by the Base Realignment and Closing (BRAC). But it was also founded to give increased opportunities to the residents of Baltimore City.

The MCCT is located at 901 N Milton Ave, Baltimore Maryland. It is a full service center offering registration, advising and testing. Assessment testing is important as it helps students to find out where they are and where they need to be to get into the construction trades. Any basic skills program that is needed will be provided with a focus on the construction trades.

The MCCT has something for everyone and registration for all of our construction trade programs are going on right now at all BCCC locations.
