Volunteer Information

Make a difference in your community while learning about a new culture and gaining valuable experience!  We are looking for energetic and committed individuals to assist our students in preparing for the U.S. Naturalization test and improving their English language skills.

Volunteers are integral to the BCCC Citizenship Program in helping our students successfully complete the naturalization process and become new American citizens. There are two primary roles for volunteers in Citizenship Preparation: classroom assistants and 1-on-1 tutors. After submitting your application, you will have a brief orientation with the Program Assistant. You will then be assigned to a classroom and its instructor based on the needs of the class and your availability. Together with the Program Assistant and the instructor, it will be determined what role is best for you based on your skill set and knowledge, and how you can most effectively assist students with their specific needs.
