Personal Responsibilities
Personal responsibilities for Veterans Affairs educational benefits recipients:
Notify the VAO whenever you want to be certified for VA Educational Benefits.
You must pursue the course work in your curriculum/major. The VA will not pay for courses not in your curriculum.
An Accuplacer placement test is required to justify taking any developmental course.
Report changes in your enrollment status to the VAO (drops, adds, withdrawals program changes and etc.).
You are responsible for over payments resulting from a change to a lower status (decrease in credit hours).
The VA will not pay for non-punitive grades – W, IP, I, N.
You will not be certified for repeating courses with a passing grade (D and above).
You must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Submit all papers to the VAO before the end of the add/drop period in order to allow for possible schedule adjustment.
