Community Open House Week at BCCC

Community Open House Week at BCCC to Offer Job and Health Fairs, Workshops on How to Start a Business and Write a Resumé, Live Bingo and More!

BALTIMORE — Next week’s community open house at Baltimore City Community College may be the perfect chance to expand your personal and career horizons, explore educational options and connect with the right people.

The college’s weeklong schedule, which includes community job and health fairs, a financial aid information session, bingo, line dancing and a shoppers bazaar, will kick off this Sunday with a spring fashion show in the sixth floor Ballroom at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (333 W. Camden Street) and continue Monday, May 7 at 10 a.m. with a Veterans Information Day at the Liberty campus offering information sessions every two hours. A free workshop, “How to Start a Business” will take place at 3 p.m.

Among the rest of the week’s highlights:

Tuesday, May 8: Free resumé clinic, 3 p.m.
 
Wednesday, May 9: Financial Aid-Family Educational Information Night, 4-6 p.m. Receive assistance completing your FAFSA application online and bring tax information.
 
Friday, May 11: Community Job Fair, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Student Affairs Atrium.
 
Saturday, May 12: Community Health Fair, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Shoppers Bazaar Open Market. Spring Theatre Production, “Urbanesque: An Evening of City-Based Broadway Shows,” at 7 p.m. in the Liberty campus Fine Arts Theatre.
