Baltimore City Community College houses one of only 26 U.S. Department of Energy National Weatherization Training Centers and the only one in Maryland! All of our weatherization and energy efficiency courses take place in this Center located at 1819 E. Preston Street.

Energy efficiency is a fast-growing, international industry consisting of green technologies such as solar photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, and eco-building. The continuing education courses offered at Baltimore City Community College can help you enter or advance in careers in energy efficiency. Weatherization Installers and Technicians perform a variety of activities to weatherize homes and make them more energy efficient. In addition, workers may perform energy audits and advise clients on energy conservation measures.
