    Program Description

    Baltimore City Community College’s Business Administration Program prepares students for success and to transfer to a four year college/University to complete their studies in a chosen field of business. The students are required to participate in studies that will provide them with the ability to demonstrate their skills in problem solving, critical thinking, visioning and interpersonal relationships. These activities will promote self-confidence and the desire for continuous learning. Students and the communities that they serve will prosper from their knowledge and integrity. The Business Administration Program is a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).   

     

    Business Administration Objectives:

     

    • Assist students in obtaining skills that will enable graduates to obtain rewarding careers in industry, government and service sectors.
    • Encourage students to communicate with both their BCCC advisors and the upper level schools of their choice to determine early and accurately the transfer school’s expectations and requirements.
    • Prepare students with a basic foundation to be able to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
    • Establish viable articulation agreements with local colleges and universities.

     

    Job Description

    An associate’s degree prepares people for jobs by providing basic training in business fundamentals. Along with organizational and leadership skills, two-year degrees give people the necessary skills for the business world. Community college graduates work in various supervisory positions, such as administrative assistants, entrepreneurs, and lower-management positions.

    Career Options and Occupation Outlook
