    Graduation Process


    Baltimore City Community College has three completion periods (Summer II, Fall, and Spring) and one commencement ceremony that is held in May/June.

    • Degree Audits are done for each completion period:
      • Summer II Potential Completers start approximately the 2nd week of July.
      • Fall Potential Completers start approximately the 2nd week of September and 1st day of withdrawal for Accelerated II session.
      • Spring Potential Completers start approximately the 2nd week of February and 1st day of withdrawal for Accelerated II session.
    • Degree Audits are automatically done by the Degree Audit team when students have met the following requirements below:
      • Currently Enrolled
      • 55 credits or more for Degree Seeking
      • 15 credits or more for Certificate Seeking

    **The Degree Audit process is a MANUAL process currently, so please be patient for results.

    • Once the Degree Audit is processed, students are able to view their status through the Student Portal by clicking on the Graduation/Commencement link.
    • Students who have met all requirements, Degree/Certificates are mailed to the students home on record by:
      • Summer II Completers – September 30th
      • Fall Completers – January 31st
      • Spring Completers – June 30th
    • The 2017/2018 commencement ceremony date is June 2, 2018.  The portal for payment to participate will be available the second week of February, 2018 until May 31, 2018. There is a $25 nonrefundable commencement fee (which covers the cost of cap & gown, tickets, etc.). Please be sure that the degree audit team has confirmed that you are a completer before paying for commencement. The commencement fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
    • Information concerning the Commencement Ceremony, cap & gown distribution, tickets etc. will be online approximately the 3rd week of April. To receive a cap & gown you must:  
      • have met ALL course requirements;
      • have no billing obligations to the college;
      • paid the $25 nonrefundable commencement fee

     

    • All correspondence regarding graduation should be made by contacting graduation@bccc.edu using your student email address ONLY (emails from non-BCCC addresses will not be accepted) or contact the Program Advisor for your educational path.
