Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Strategic Partnerships
Ms. Kirstaetter is responsible for fundraising, alumni affairs, communications, marketing and strategic partnerships in addition to serving as BCCC's primary liaison to the Office of the Mayor of Baltimore City, City Hall and city agencies.
Ms. Kirstaetter has over 20 years of leadership in government, nonprofit and advocacy. She was Deputy Mayor of Baltimore City for Health, Human Services and Education during the administration of Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer for Associated Black Charities. She has extensive experience with youth development through her various senior leadership roles with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in Baltimore, Washington DC, in Dallas, TX, and Montgomery County, MD. In addition, Ms. Kirstaetter worked in senior management roles at Planned Parenthood affiliates in Atlanta, Eastern Kentucky, and Washington, DC.
Ms. Kirstaetter is on the Leadership Council of the Open Society Institute-Baltimore and a board member of the Maryland SPCA, Georgetown University Hoya Hoop Club, and the SEED School of Maryland. She holds a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University and an M.S.W. from Clark Atlanta University.
