Law Enforcement Correctional Administration Focus

The Correctional Administration program addresses the professional and educational needs of students interested in careers in corrections and of personnel already employed in the field who desire to increase their proficiency or to improve their professional career opportunities. Our graduates go on to work in federal, state, and county prisons, and other rewarding careers.

The program enhances professional skills and prepares graduates for promotion or entry into many professional and administrative positions within corrections, intake, youth services, and others.

The Law Enforcement option of the Law Enforcement/ Correctional Administration program caters to the professional and educational needs of students interested in careers in law enforcement and of current law enforcement personnel who desire to increase their knowledge proficiencies in the field and to improve their professional career opportunities. The program enhances professional skills and prepares graduates for promotion or entry into many professional and administrative positions within law enforcement, probation, and parole.

Suggested Sequence of Courses

Every degree-seeking student must complete the College’s General Education Requirements in addition to the requirements of his/her academic program. Through the College’s General Education Requirements, students acquire basic knowledge of the disciplines in the areas of arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, English composition, and computer literacy.
