Admitted Students

Before registering for classes, you must submit all required admission documents. BCCC may require documents such as:

• Official high school transcript or GED
• Official college transcripts (for transfer students who attended another college)
• Residency verification Form and supporting documents
  • Refer to the Residency Verification Webpage for more information
• Program-specific documentation, if applicable

To activate your myBCCC account, you must first review your Acceptance Letter that was sent to you by email to obtain your user credentials.  Once activated, students should activate and regularly access their myBCCC account to access:

• Panther Portal
• BCCC Email Account
  Note: BCCC will only communicate with you using your BCCC email account.
• Canvas (Learning Management System)
• Touchnet (View Student Billing, Setup/Manage Tuition Payment Plan)

BCCC will only communicate with you using your BCCC email account, including important communications about advising, financial aid, registration, orientation, and student account information.

Tip: Check your BCCC email frequently to stay informed and avoid missing important deadlines.

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an important step in paying for college.

BCCC provides advising services to support students throughout their academic journey. 

Academic Advisors help students with:

• Developing an educational plan, and
• Staying on track towards graduation and/or transfer

Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor before registering for classes. Prior to meeting with an academic advisor, it is important that placement testing is completed first. Transfer students should begin the transcript evaluation process and/or have an unofficial transcript to share (while you are waiting for the evaluation to be completed). 

You may visit the Student Success Center for drop-in advising (without an appointment).  The hours are available on the Advising Webpage. Opportunities to sign up for Advising 100: New Student Group Advising Sessions will be emailed to new applicants periodically.  In these interactive group sessions, you will learn the essentials about academic planning, creating your schedule, and enrolling online.

After meeting with an advisor and resolving any outstanding requirements, you are ready to register for classes online in the myBCCC Panther Portal and officially become an enrolled student.  

As orientation generally occurs right before classes, the benefits of registering in advance include securing your class schedule to include courses, dates, times, preferred modes (in-person, virtual and online), and locations.  Do not wait.  When you register before orientation, you can dedicate more time during the actual event to spend with your academic departments, student support services, and engagement activities.  

Before registering for classes, make sure that:

• Your admissions file is complete
• Placement requirements have been satisfied
• Any registration holds have been resolved
• You have met with an advisor

New Student Orientation is required for all new first-time and transfer students enrolled at BCCC. Orientation provides important information that will help you successfully transition to college and begin your academic journey. BCCC regularly offers orientation sessions for newly admitted students. New students must complete orientation before the start of classes.

During Orientation, students will:

• Learn about college expectations
• Meet faculty and staff
• Explore student support services
• Learn how to navigate campus technology
• Become familiar with student resources and engagement opportunities
• Prepare for a successful first semester

Before classes begin:

• Review your schedule – login to myBCCC
• Obtain your Student ID. Students must have a BCCC Student ID to pick up their textbooks
• Order textbooks and course materials through Barnes and Noble First Day ® Complete Program.

1. Upon registering for courses, you will be automatically enrolled in the Program.
2. Once you’ve successfully selected your courses, you must verify your order.
3. To verify your order, 30 days before the first day of classes, you will receive an email at your student.bccc.edu email address to verify your order and select your fulfillment preference. If you register within 30 days of class start dates, you will receive the verification email within 48 hours.
4. Students who choose not to participate in the First Day Complete program may opt out of the program by the established deadline. For more information visit the BCCC Bookstore Webpage.

• Check your BCCC email regularly at the myBCCC Webpage.

After registering for classes, log in to TouchNet through your myBCCC account to review your tuition and fees.

Students must complete the following:

• Pay the balance in full. (All tuition and fee balances are due upon receipt unless you are enrolled in a monthly payment plan).  
• Confirm that financial aid, scholarships, or other funding will cover the balance.
• Enroll in an available tuition payment plan.

Payment Plan Option: Students may also enroll in a monthly, interest-free payment plan that covers tuition, fees, textbooks, and supplies. The enrollment fee is $50 per semester

How to access your bill:

1. Log in to the TouchNet Student Portal using your user ID and password.
2. From the top toolbar, click “My Account” and select “Statements.”
3. On the Statements page, click “View Statement.”
4. Select the appropriate term, then click Submit.
5. Your Current Statement will appear.
6. To pay your bill, click “Make Payment” at the bottom of your statement

Your account balance may change if you add or drop classes, or if adjustments are made to your financial aid.

Students are responsible for reviewing their account balance and checking their BCCC email regularly for billing notices and important payment information.
