About the TEAS Examination:
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a multiple-choice assessment of basic academic knowledge in reading, mathematics, science, English, and language usage. The objectives assessed on the TEAS exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of nursing program applicants.
Tests will not be offered at BCCC in the months of January, August, and December.
Students must register with both ATI and BCCC. Please complete the following three steps:
Create an account (profile) online. Once the user name and password has been created, schedule the test appointment and pay the required fee. Please remember the user name and password; it will be required on the test day. (DO NOT proceed to STEP II until registration and payment for STEP I is confirmed)
Step II. Register with BCCC
Select TEAS for BCCC students ONLY (You must select the same exam date as chosen for ATI). Create an account, schedule the test appointment, and pay the required fee.
Please note: Students applying to BCCC's Nursing and Allied Health Programs must have all course requirements and transfer credits indicated on the student inquiry before taking the TEAS exam.
Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.(cash, checks, and money orders will not be accepted) Fees must be paid online in advance of the test date.
Step III. Exam Day Requirements
Please bring the following:
Acceptable Photo ID (Valid Driver’s license, Government issued ID/State ID, or Passport)
Email confirmation from ATI and Prepblast (BCCC)
Current student inquiry to verify BCCC enrollment status
Please do not bring the following into the testing room:
Cell phones, electronic devices, calculators, food and drinks, hoodies, coats, purses, headphones, and watches. Other items excluded will be determined by the Test Center staff.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the testing time. Please be prompt, late arrivals will not be admitted.
The BCCC Test Center provides test accommodations for all candidates who qualify for non-standard test administration. Documentation must be submitted to the center no later than two weeks prior to the test date or fax it to 410-225-4606.
BCCC students who believe they qualify for special accommodations should contact the Disability Services Office
for assistance with this process.
