Library/Bookstore Author Series with Dr. Solomon Iyobosa Omo-Osagie II
History in the Spotlight
Dr. Solomon Iyobosa Omo-Osagie II, professor of political science and history, will be the next featured speaker in the ongoing—and very popular—BCCC Library/Bookstore Author Series. Faculty, staff, students and the general public are invited to attend on Wednesday, April 3, from noon to 2 p.m.
The professor will introduce his new book, In the Commercial Poultry Production on Maryland’s Eastern Shore: The Role of African Americans, 1930’s to 1990’s. The piece is a careful examination of the racial, labor, public health and environmental issues that have shaped an industry which is crucial to the economy of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The book talk will take place in the Liberty Campus Bard Library.
