Optimal Mental Health Foum - "The Resilient Black Family"
The Black Mental Health Alliance for Education and Consultation, Inc. presents "The Resilient Black Family," an optimal mental health forum. Registration will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by the discussion at 6 p.m.
Dr. W. Henry Gregory, Jr., Dr. Janice Stevenson (two premiere psychologists) and Minister Carla J. Debnam (Executive Program Director of The Renaissance Christian Counseling Center) will share key concepts on the resiliency of the Black family. The dialogue will include male/female dynamics, parent/children dynamics, the role of education, the role of spirituality, and the idea of economic status; all centered around the concept of “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”.
