BCCC Joins USM B-Power Educational Initiative to Transform Prospects for City Students

Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) will be a critical partner in the University System of Maryland's new initiative to spur increased educational and career opportunities for city students. The USM B-Power (or Baltimore Power) effort will join BCCC, Coppin State University, the University of Baltimore, the CollegeBound Foundation and Junior Achievement of Central Maryland to ensure city youth become fully vested in revitalization efforts taking place throughout Baltimore City.

"We are extremely proud of our collaboration with the B-Power partners," said BCCC President/CEO Dr. Gordon F. May. "At BCCC, we are constantly exploring ways to reach out to Baltimore's youth in desperate need of access to affordable training for 21st-century jobs, and this initiative is an innovative way to accomplish this goal while increasing our ongoing recruitment and workforce development efforts."
