Baltimore Afro Does a Nice Profile on BCCC Year Up Program

The Baltimore Afro-American newspaper reported on BCCC students in the Year Up program, who spend a year receiving critical workforce training as they pursue their associate degree and learn the habits of professional dress, punctuality, accountability and teamwork. The program provides students the opportunity to earn up to $600 per month in stipends and prepares them for exciting opportunities as interns in some of Baltimore's best-known companies: Johns Hopkins, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley among others. Since 2010, Year Up at BCCC has placed 250 students in internships paying a livable wage: $16 an hour and up. Click here for the story!
