Eligibility Requirements

To ensure participant success and program integrity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a U.S. citizen and legally domiciled in Maryland.
• Must be at least 17.5 years old (or 17 turning 18 within six months of program start).
• Must have no criminal convictions.
• Must enroll through a participating Maryland community college (such as Baltimore City Community College).
• Must meet one of the following academic or certification criteria:
  • Be currently seeking or have successfully obtained an associate’s degree in IT/cybersecurity.
  • Hold two of the following industry-recognized certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+.
