Veterans Admissions/Enrollment
-
Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) welcomes the opportunity to serve our military affiliated students. Whether you are on active duty, in the Reserves or National Guard, a veteran or a family member of a veteran, the college is committed to your academic success.
To begin your journey at BCCC, please see our steps to enrollment and certification.
New Student
Students who plan to use VA benefits for the first time should apply for them on the VA website. It can take up to 30 days for the VA to approve your benefits and process your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) so it's important to get this step done first. If you are uncertain which VA benefit to use, please visit the GI Bill Comparison Tool.
To complete your certification process for veteran education benefits, you must complete and submit an Enrollment Certification Form with a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility letter from the VA to the BCCC Veterans Services by emailing VAbenefits@bccc.edu.
Transfer Student
A student who has earned previous college credits is considered a transfer student. To enroll, you must submit an official copy of your transcript(s), to include military transcripts, by email to registrar@bccc.edu. This can be done online via your previous institution’s website or the military-specific links located in steps to enrollment.
All transfer students must complete a VA Form 22-1995 online and submit it directly to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Student Enrollment Verification
Every student using Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Montgomery GI Bill® benefits must verify their enrollment each month with the VA. Please visit Verify Your School Enrollment.
