Presented by Student Support and Wellness Services and BCCC strategic partner Year Up Baltimore, the resource fair will bring together representatives from over two dozen community agencies and student support services. Several information sessions and demonstrations are scheduled throughout the fair, including free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, opioid overdose prevention training, and a Mentoring Circle for individuals who grew up with foster parents or with adults other than parents. Advanced students in BCCC’s Dental Hygiene program will also be on hand from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to demonstrate proper dental care and what to do for various dental problems.
To date, 28 service providers have confirmed their participation, with more expected to sign on, including:
Year Up, and more.
SSWS works to position BCCC students for success by providing free, confidential counseling services, wellness events and connecting them to outside resources. As a strategic partner of the college, Year Up provides an intensive one-year training program that equips young adults with a combination of hands-on skills development, coursework eligible for college credit, and internships at top companies.
The Student Atrium is located in the Main Building (across from Bard Library). Directions to the main Liberty campus are available here. A campus map that includes information about visitor parking can be found here. For more information, call SSWS at (410) 462-8384.
