Baltimore City Community College welcomes Military Members and Veterans!

Thank you for your service to our country!

BCCC is honored to have the opportunity to assist  active duty personnel, veterans and military families in pursuing their educational and personal goals.  BCCC is a member of  Service Member's Opportunity College (SOC) and is recognized as a military friendly campus.

The College's Veterans Affairs office is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission  to certify eligible veterans, dependents and service personnel for VA educational benefits.  The Department of Veterans Affairs determines your eligibility for Veterans benefits.  However, the BCCC Veterans Affairs Office (VAO) can provide you with assistance and guidance completing the appropriate documents to apply for VA benefits.

Active duty military personnel and their dependents who are domiciliary of the state of Maryland at the time of entrance into the Armed Forces and who are stationed outside the state may retain Maryland domicile as long as they do not establish domicile elsewhere. Military personnel stationed in Maryland who were not Maryland domiciliary at the time of entrance into the Armed Forces, and their dependents may be considered state resident for tuition purposes as long as they remain on active duty in the state. Those who reside and/or are stationed in Maryland will be immediately considered in-state residents for tuition purposes.
You may be eligible for VA educational benefits under one of several categories of the GI Bill:
Chapter 30 - Active Duty Montgomery GI Bill
Chapter 33 - The Post 9/11 GI Bill
Chapter 31 - Disabled Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Program
Chapter 35 - Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA)
Chapter 32 - Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)
Chapter 1606 - Selective Reserve Montgomery GI Bill
Chapter 1607 - Reserve Educational Assistance Program ( REAP)
