    The BCCC Dual Enrollment Program empowers Baltimore City high school students to earn credits toward their high school diploma and college degree at the same time at no cost.

Program Facts

  • You qualify! As a high-school student, you are automatically eligible to participate if you meet one of the criteria below:

    1. Your current cumulative unweighted GPA is greater than or equal to 3.0, and you earned a C in Algebra I or a passing Algebra I MCAP score.
    2. You passed the English 10 and Algebra I MCAP.

    You choose!

    • Explore topics you enjoy.  
    • Learn at your high school or on BCCC’s Liberty campus.
    • Earn your AA degree or professional certificate or complete a college course to prove to yourself that you can do it!

    You win!

      • Save time and money while you earn your AA degree or professional certificate. 
      • Qualify to earn your bachelor’s degree at a lower cost, or at no cost to you.

Parallel Enrollment

  • BCCC Parallel Enrollment empowers (non)-BCPSS, home school, or private high school students to earn credits toward their high school diploma and college degree at the same time.

    1. Who can participate in dual enrollment

      Students are eligible to participate in the program if they: 

        • Complete the BCCC application and submit the Dual Enrollment Participation Form and high school transcript. 
        • Earn the minimum grade point average and MCAP pass score as described above.

    1. Are dual enrollment courses counted towards my high school diploma? 

    Students must speak to their high school counselor for additional information. 

    1. Are the college credits transferable? 

    College credits earned at BCCC will normally transfer to Maryland public four-year colleges and universities and most private, and most out-of-state colleges and universities. Discuss the transferability of credits with your BCCC advisor. You can contact them by emailing studentsuccesscenter@bccc.edu.  

    1. If I need to take a placement test, where do I go? 

    Placement testing is administered on campus at BCCC. You may take your placement test: 

    Monday/Thursday/Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

    Tuesday/Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

    1st, 3rd, or 5th Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

    1. What are the essential dual enrollment due dates for spring 2026, summer 2026, and fall 2026?

    Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS) Students – Please contact your school counselor for more information and/or assistance.

    Spring 2026 Registration:

    • DUE: November 21, 2025: Submit an email to bmetcalf2@bccc.edu stating your interest in dual enrollment to bmetcalf2@bccc.edu
    • DUE: December 12, 2025: Complete and submit the Early College School Level Course Request Form Revised to bmetcalf2@bccc.edu
