Over 30 Colleges Expected for Fall Transfer Day on Oct. 30

(October 25, 2019) – Students interested in learning about transferring to a four-year university or college are encouraged to attend Baltimore City Community College’s Fall Transfer Day Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Student Atrium on the Liberty campus.

Transfer Day is expected to bring more than 30 colleges and universities to BCCC’s campus, giving students the opportunity to visit a large number of choices all under one roof. Students will be able to receive hands-on help and resources from advisors and recruiters representing schools such as Towson University, Howard University, Hood College, Delaware State University, Goucher College, University of Maryland College Park, Penn State University and more.

Transfer Day is coordinated by BCCC’s Transfer Center, which provides students with resources and guidance to ensure a smooth transfer experience. In addition to filling out admission applications, Transfer Center staff help students with everything from searching for transfer scholarships and financial aid to transferring credits and using ARTSYS.

BCCC holds Transfer Day twice annually in the fall and spring. According to Dean of Academic Operations and Services Daphne Snowden, Ed.D, in some cases students can be evaluated and accepted to a four-year school on the spot. “My son, a former student at BCCC, was even accepted into Bowie State University during a Transfer Day here at the college.”

The Student Atrium is located in the Main Building (across from Bard Library). Directions to the main Liberty campus are available here.
