Baltimore City Community College Continues Free Textbooks Initiative for Summer 2021 Classes

(MAY 6, 2021) - Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) today, announced free textbooks for students enrolled in summer 2021 classes at the College.

As part of BCCC’s continuing efforts to make college affordable, BCCC is offering free textbooks to students enrolled in summer classes for the second year in a row. With the onset over a year ago of the pandemic, and the shift to virtual classes and services last March, the College is continuing to provide students with greater access to college.

“We want to ensure our students remain enrolled in college and that they are successful,” said President Debra L. McCurdy. “This past year has placed an enormous financial strain on many of our students. Our free textbook initiative, along with our low cost and tuition-free programs, reduces the economic burden experienced by students and allows them to focus on their education.”

BCCC began offering free text books and shipping to students enrolled in Summer 2020 classes. This year, the same offer applies to students enrolled in classes during the College’s summer session with two 5 week and two 8 week terms. Classes start May 24, June 21 and June 30.

The BCCC’s bookstore is processing all textbook orders fully online at https://bcccbookstore.bccc.edu/. All book orders will be shipped directly to students at no cost. Questions about book orders should be directed to bookstore@bccc.edu.
