Panthers Win MD JUCO Championship

HAGERSTOWN, MD -- The Baltimore City Community College Panthers men's basketball team came into the the season with three goals. Goal number one was already completed and that was to win the Maryland JUCO regular season championship.  Goal number two was accomplished Sunday evening when the Panthers defeated Frederick Community College 77-74 to win the MD JUCO tournament championship.

The Panthers will undoubtedly enjoy this win and enjoy the moment, but only temporarily. Once they return to campus Monday morning it'll be back to business as preparation for their final goal begins; win the NJCAA Division I Region XX Tournament.  If they are able to win the Region XX Championship, Baltimore City CC will host the District 3 title game with a chance to make a 2nd straight trip to Hutchinson, Kansas for the NJCAA National Tournament Championship round.
