BCCC is honored to have the opportunity to assist active duty personnel, veterans and military families in pursuing their educational and personal goals. BCCC is a member of Service Member's Opportunity College (SOC) and is recognized as a military friendly campus.The College's Veterans Affairs office is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission to certify eligible veterans, dependents and service personnel for VA educational benefits. The Department of Veterans Affairs determines your eligibility for Veterans benefits. However, the BCCC Veterans Affairs Office (VAO) can provide you with assistance and guidance completing the appropriate documents to apply for VA benefits.
Active duty military personnel and their dependents who are domiciliary of the state of Maryland at the time of entrance into the Armed Forces and who are stationed outside the state may retain Maryland domicile as long as they do not establish domicile elsewhere. Military personnel stationed in Maryland who were not Maryland domiciliary at the time of entrance into the Armed Forces, and their dependents may be considered state resident for tuition purposes as long as they remain on active duty in the state. Those who reside and/or are stationed in Maryland will be immediately considered in-state residents for tuition purposes.You may be eligible for VA educational benefits under one of several categories of the GI Bill:Chapter 33 - The Post 9/11 GI BillChapter 31 - Veteran Readiness & Employment for Disabled Veterans (VR&E)
