    Program Description 

    ACBSP Baltimore City Community College’s Business Marketing Program is career oriented. This program prepares students who are entry level-level trainee position in business, industry, government and non-profit organizations. Students are required to participate in learning activities that will provide them with the ability to demonstrate their skills in critical thinking, problem solving, visioning, team building and interpersonal relationships.
     
    These activities will promote the students self-confidence and the desire to continue their learning activities for future success. Students and the communities that they serve will benefit and prosper from their knowledge, hard work, integrity and desire to be the best. The demonstration of excellent communication skills and especially the ability to listen are also emphasized. Upon completion there is also the choice to transfer to a four year college/university. 
     
    The Business Marketing Concentration Program is a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Career Options and Occupation Outlook

  • Employment is projected to grow 12 percent from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Tasks such as managing facilities and being prepared for emergencies will remain important in a wide range of industries. Students in Business Marketing gain knowledge of opportunities to become entrepreneurs.

    The need for business marketing managers covers all industries.

  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, be creative and innovative, possess excellent critical thinking skills, knowledge of marketing and sales principles, analytical and research skills, excellent customer relationship management skills, ability to create a winning marketing plan.
