Plugins, Internet browsers, and Other Downloads
Most of the downloads listed below are free.
Please make sure to search these sites carefully for free versions of these plug-ins.
Each piece of software will have different minimum technical requirements. Be mindful of your computer’s specifications and the requirements for each program.
Acrobat Viewer: Has tools used to view, edit, and sign PDFs.
Excel Viewer: Used to open, view, and print Excel workbooks. You can also copy data from Excel Viewer to another program but you cannot edit data.
Flash: Required to view certain types of internet content, such as YouTube videos.
Internet Explorer: Web browser created and maintained by Microsoft.
Mozilla Firefox: Web browser created and maintained by Mozilla. We recommend this one.
Google Chrome: Web browser created and maintained by Google. A good choice.
PowerPoint Viewer: Lets you view power-point presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions.
Quick Time: Lets you view Internet videos and personal media in a wide range of file formats.
Windows Media Player: Used to play a variety of media files (videos, music, etc.)
Word Viewer: Used to view, print and copy Word documents.
Open Office: A freeware alternative to Microsoft Office. Used for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, database, etc.Libre Office: Another freeware alternative to Microsoft Office. Used for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases, etc.
