    Dr. Angela Jones-Ramirez

Trauma-Informed Instruction (TII), an extension of Trauma-Informed Care in the area of Academia, recognizes the need for pedagogical and andragogical considerations when serving those who have a trauma history. Research confirms that trauma can have long-lasting negative effects on the growth, development, and function of the brain, thereby potentially impeding one’s academic success.

Trauma Informed-Instruction equips educators with strategies to support students in the classroom who have trauma histories in safe learning environments, with compassion and respect.
