    Dear BCCC Faculty and Staff:

As we end an extraordinarily challenging week, I wanted to pause and acknowledge the unbelievable upheaval that we are all experiencing in our daily and professional lives. Over the past week, many critical decisions have been made and I feel the impact and the strain that many of you do. Through all the conversations that I am having and reports received, the transition to Telework and remote teaching has gone about as well as anyone could expect. While there is still so much more to do, the online transition is a testament to your relentless spirit and the tireless work of our support teams.

Remember, if you need IT assistance over the weekend, the Helpdesk is available to you at helpdesk@bccc.edu.  The hours of remote operation are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Early next week, I will provide you with information on how and when mail pickup will be available.  In the meantime, I want to reiterate that while the College is open via remote services, the Campus is closed.  Public Safety is controlling access 24/7 and you will not be permitted on Campus without having received prior supervisor and Cabinet member approval.  This will ensure that we can safely manage the number of individuals who may venture onto the Campus.

Please monitor the news for the latest developments and visit BCCC’s Coronavirus Response website for resources along with tips for pet owners and a link to BCCC’s radio station that provides continuous soothing classical music. As COVID-19 changes are still rapidly occurring, I will continue to provide you with regular updates and resource information.

I extend my best to you and your families to stay well, safe and “close to home”.

    Regards,
