Admissions Services & Programs

    • International Student Admissions is for students seeking admission under F-1 student visa status. An International Student Advisor is ready to help you understand immigration regulations so that you can easily navigate the admissions process at BCCC. Transcript Evaluation is required of all students who have attended another college or university seeking to have college credit transferred. All successfully completed coursework may be used toward your degree or certificate program at BCCC. An Official College Transcript must be submitted to the Admissions Office from each institution attended. 

    • Special Admissions to Nursing and Allied Health programs are required of all students interested in pursuing degrees Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care and Surgical Technology. Students must meet with an Admissions Officer to learn of prerequisite requirements and the special admissions process. 

    • High School Early Enrollment Program allows high school students to dually enroll at BCCC. Ask a BCCC Recruiter or contact the Admissions Office for more information. 

    • Information Sessions and Campus Tours are the first step in helping you to determine your academic goals and to develop an educational plan. During an information session and campus tour, participants will have an opportunity to explore BCCC's various program offerings. You will learn more about the enrollment process including Placement Testing, Payment Options, Financial Aid, Advising and Campus Life. If you choose to participate in one of our Student Ambassador led campus tours, we encourage you to ask questions about “What it’s like to be a student at BCCC?”

    Admission Requirements

    Baltimore City Community College has an open admissions policy. All high school graduates and holders of high school equivalency diplomas or certificates are eligible for admission. Adults not holding a high school diploma or equivalent GED diploma become eligible for degree and certificate programs after successfully completing 15 college-level credits.

    • Courses requiring English and/or mathematics prerequisites cannot be taken until the prerequisites are completed.

    English & Math Placement

    Applicants to degree or certificate programs must establish initial English and Math placement through one of the following:

    • High School or GED transcripts
    • Prior College Transcripts
    • BCCC Alternate Placement Assessment

    Returning After Two Semesters Away

    Returning students that previously attended BCCC but have not been enrolled for the past two consecutive semesters must complete an Admissions Application

    Prospective Students May Attend an Information Session and/or a Campus Tour

    Admissions Process for Visiting Students

    Baltimore City Community College welcomes the opportunity to serve students currently attending another college or university.

    Steps to Enrollment for Visiting Students:

      1. Complete an admissions application and provide proof of Maryland Residency for instate tuition. 
      2. Meet with your academic advisor or the appropriate administrator at your home institution to request written permission to take a course at BCCC. You are required to meet BCCC course prerequisite requirements. 
      3. Submit your permission letter, official or unofficial transcript to the Admissions Office at BCCCAdmissions@bccc.edu or on Liberty Campus, Main Build Room 02.
      4. Meet with a BCCC academic advisor or register online in the Panther Portal. In the” Panther Portal” you will find the link for Course Look Up, Registration, Credit or Debit card payments and our Tuition Deferred Payment Plan.  For additional information on payment options visit bccc.edu/paymentoptions.
