Institutional Accreditation

  • Accreditation ensures that a college or university meets the level of quality expected from a higher education institution. If the accrediting body is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), accreditation will also ensure that a college meets the regulatory requirements for students to participate in federal financial aid programs.

BCCC is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE is recognized by USDE to assure students and the public of the educational quality for over 500 institutions of higher education.

On June 25, 2015, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed accreditation of Baltimore City Community College (BCCC).
