Purpose
The Center for Academic Achievement provides free tutoring support for Baltimore City Community College students. Students attend individual and small group tutoring sessions to focus on specific areas for improvement. Tutors determine what information the student is missing that prevents the student from making significant academic gains and design a plan for enhancing learning.
Mission
The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) is an academic support service providing BCCC students with a comprehensive array of programs, resources, and services to assist them in attaining the course-specific knowledge and developing the learning skills necessary for them to become independent, engaged learners and achieve their academic goals. The CAA fulfills this mission by providing students with premier learning facilities that are consistently perceived as completely equipped, well-maintained and attractive, welcoming, and staffed by knowledgeable instructional tutors and assistants.
Vision
The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) strives to enable students to become successful and independent learners through excellent service, challenging and responsive academic support programs and a diversity of tutoring services.
